Origen como gran hotel de 1926
El edificio fue inaugurado en 1926 como Hotel Príncipe de Asturias por el rey Alfonso XIII.
Arquitectura firmada por Fernando Guerrero Strachan
El proyecto original fue diseñado por Fernando Guerrero Strachan y combina influencias modernistas, art déco, andaluzas y neoárabes.
Una historia con usos singulares
Antes de su recuperación hotelera, el inmueble funcionó como hospital de campaña durante la Guerra Civil y como sede de la jurisdicción provincial entre 1987 y 2007.
Restauración de elementos patrimoniales
La rehabilitación conservó arcos de madera tallada de inspiración nazarí, azulejería andaluza, frescos pintados a mano, yeserías decorativas y techos ornamentados.
